Terms of Service ​

Effective date: April 9, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the DataHippo platform at datahippohq.com and related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by DataHippo ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility ​

You must be at least 18 years old and have the authority to bind the entity on whose behalf you are using the Service. By creating an account you represent that you meet these requirements.

2. Accounts ​

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at support@datahippohq.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Permitted Use ​

You may use the Service to collect, store, analyze, and visualize observability data (traces, logs, metrics, exceptions), manage LLM prompts and gateway routing, and interact with the AI agent — all in accordance with these Terms and applicable law.

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to process data you do not have the right to collect or transmit.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or other users' access.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
  • Use the Service for unlawful purposes or to transmit malicious code.
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to the Service without our written consent.

4. Your Data ​

You retain all rights to the data you submit to the Service ("Your Data"). By using the Service you grant us a limited license to process Your Data solely to operate and improve the Service.

We do not use your telemetry data, LLM prompts, or completions to train models or for any purpose other than delivering the Service to you.

5. Third-Party Integrations ​

The Service allows you to connect third-party services (Slack, GitHub, PagerDuty, cloud providers, LLM providers, etc.). Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms. We are not responsible for the availability or conduct of third-party services.

When you route LLM requests through the gateway, the prompts and completions are sent to the upstream model provider you select. You are responsible for complying with that provider's terms and usage policies.

6. AI Agent ​

The AI agent ("Moodeng") can perform actions on your behalf, including querying data, managing resources, and interacting with integrations. Agent actions are scoped to the permissions of the authenticated user who initiated the request. You are responsible for the instructions you give the agent and for reviewing its actions.

The agent may produce inaccurate or incomplete results. It is provided "as is" and should not be used as a sole basis for critical decisions.

7. Payment and Billing ​

If your plan includes paid features, you agree to pay all applicable fees. Fees are non-refundable except as required by law or as explicitly stated in your plan agreement. We may change pricing with 30 days' notice.

8. Service Availability ​

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform scheduled maintenance with reasonable advance notice. We are not liable for downtime caused by factors beyond our reasonable control.

9. Intellectual Property ​

The Service, including its code, design, documentation, and trademarks, is owned by DataHippo and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property except the limited right to use the Service as described here.

10. Limitation of Liability ​

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DataHippo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenue, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification ​

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DataHippo and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

12. Termination ​

Either party may terminate these Terms at any time. You can close your account through the platform or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if continued access poses a risk to the Service or other users.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases. We will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable retention settings.

13. Changes to These Terms ​

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, if appropriate, notify you via email or in-product notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law ​

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which DataHippo is incorporated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
